Okay, so I have a bunch of photos that I need to prepare for the last 2 months of 2009 and I'll try to get those up soon.

I had gotten a bit tired of the photo-a-day thing, so I decided I needed some new inspiration. This year, I have two projects. I know, I know ... you're wondering how I'll manage two projects when for the past year I couldn't even keep up with the one!

Well, I have a different focus this time and I'm hoping it helps keep me motivated. The two things I'll be working on are:

Self Portraits 365 - I've seen a lot of people doing this. It's a spin on the photo-a-day thing. I will do some form of self-portrait every day, even if it's just a photo of my hand or something. This way I have a specific subject in mind every day. Sometimes I can be lazy and just snap a quick shot before going to bed, but other days I can try and be more creative. I've already started a set over on flickr here.

52 Photowalks - I read about this project idea over here. The goal is to get out of the house once a week and walk around snapping photos. I'm hoping to do "themes" or "areas" for these walks and I have a list of ideas that I'm excited about - the difficulty will be finding time. My goal is to do almost all of these walks in the Philadelphia area so at the end of the year, I'll have covered a decent amount of the city and surrounding area. I've posted my first one over here although I haven't decided on a format for these yet. More to come later.

The closest we can come to being in Tokyo while we're here in the states is to go to Mitsuwa in Edgewater, NJ. So we took Adina and Steph there today.

This Thanksgiving was Joslyn+ because Adina and Steph joined us! Chad and Matt were there too. It was a great time. Even the turkey was happy!

I went in today for my (hopefully) final check up for my toe. I've spent way too much time in this office (this is my 5th visit). But I'm getting my toes all fixed up, so it's ok.

We went to lunch/dinner with Deb and Bud today at Brasserie 73 in Skippack. The food was fantastic. I especially liked this lobster bisque with puff pastry top.

Tonight we made some poached eggs and put them over chili that we had made earlier and then put that all on an english muffin. It was divine.

Every year, we have a big potluck Thanksgiving celebration at my office. We get turkey, ham, and gravy catered, and then everyone brings a dish to share.

I had minor surgery done on my toe today. When I got home, I turned around and saw red on the floor! I bled through my sock and bandages. Eewww.

A new A.C. Moore store opened in Willow Grove. This is the best thing ever because they have such better stuff than Michael's! I see us going here a lot!

I worked on putting new caulk around the tub today - something I've been avoiding forever. Unfortunately, I got clear caulk, so it looks kind of funny. Oops.

My small bag that I use to carry my essentials is quite full. It's a bit of a mess because I just throw everything in the one main compartment. The bag was $5 in Japan.

I took this photo of some kind of bug bite on my arm but I have no idea what it was from. Maybe it was something else entirely. I guess we'll never know. Strange.

Once a week or so I make a batch of 6 servings of steel cut oatmeal and I freeze in in a muffin tray. It's awesome because then I can have breakfast at work all week.

This is the cute bag I got from Target a few years ago to carry around my Macbook. It lives next to my bed and is always ready for me when I need it!

We received our Netflix PS3 Streaming disc. It is totally amazing! We can watch all of Netflix's Instant Watch media directly on the TV. Some even in HD!

I told you I was obsessed. This time we made 2 loaves and froze one of them. It worked out great! Chad added some spices to this one and it was yummy (rosemary and such).

Sometime after midnight, the Phillies won their game and became the National League champions! The game was tons of fun - the crowd was just crazy.

My parents gave me this new lens for my camera for my birthday. I've been dying for a better lens and this one really delivers. It's a Sigma 17-70mm and I love it!

I think they tore down this McDonalds and then rebuilt it. It is on Rt. 73 so I pass it twice a day. It looks totally different than the ones I'm used to.

We had a crapload of yard waste and other stuff to get rid of, so we rented a dumpster. It was a lot of fun to fill it up! It holds 15 cubic yards, so we were able to get a lot in it!

Tonight I finished the handbag project for my mom. The handle gave me a bit of trouble so I had to sew the sides shut so the handle wouldn't slip. I hope she likes it.

We had to clean up in a hurry one day, so all our junk got thrown in this room. It's a room that is currently used just for the guinea pigs. Hopefully soon it'll be nicer.

I got this solar charger for my iPhone. You leave it in the sun and it charges its internal battery for later use. Well, I noticed today that it had partially melted from the heat.
