June 30, 2009: Bread Disappointment

I made two loaves of No-Knead Bread tonight to take to tomorrow's Orchestra concert. The bread didn't turn out as well as usual, I think because it's so humid out.

June 29, 2009: Sci Fi Book Club

Chad and I met with our Sci Fi book club tonight to discuss "Little Brother". It was a good time. On the way, I took a photo of the old Stapler storefront. It's still empty.

June 28, 2009: Kitchen Island Mod

Chad and I would like to put our computer upstairs, so we took the kitchen island and modified it so the breakfast bar is in front. It made us feel handy.

June 27, 2009: Kayaks!

We were in the area so we stopped in at Dick's today. We looked at their Kayaks because my parents are thinking about getting one. I'd like one too!

June 26, 2009: My Diploma

My Diploma arrived today. Well, it tried to arrive earlier but UPS wouldn't leave it. Finally, they were able to deliver it next door to Deb. Yay! It's official!

June 25, 2009: Magic Beans

Heather gave me some gifts for completing my Master's Degree today. One of them was this huge jar of Reeses Pieces. I'm limited to 21 per day .... arggh. Haha.

June 24, 2009: Obsessed with the Closer

My parents lent me their DVD set of the 4th season of the Closer. I love this show - it is so addictive. I just sit and watch one episode after another.

June 23, 2009: Air Conditioners

It has finally started to get a little too warm in the back bedroom, so we put the air conditioner in to keep the pigs comfortable.

June 22, 2009: Ikea Napkins

We had an impromtu dinner with our neighbors tonight out on the patio. It was lovely, of course, and we got to use some of our favorite Ikea napkins!

June 21, 2009: Croquet!

It was Father's Day so we gathered at my parents' house to celebrate. Dad got out the Croquet set and we played a couple rounds. You had to have a drink in your hand!!

June 20, 2009: Edible Beef Blood

Oh wonderful H Mart. We went there with Adina and Steph to do some shopping for dinner (although we ended up just going to the diner) and I saw this in a case.

June 19, 2009: Mezze Feast

Tonight Chad and I drove down to Baltimore to spend the weekend with Adina and Steph. We went to Mezze for dinner (of course) and had an amazing feast!

You may know that I love the Delicious Library app for my MacBook. I scan in books using the barcodes. With their new iPhone app, I can take my book list with me!!

This iPhone solar charger was on sale recently, so I ordered it online. I received it today and I'm charging it up in the sun! Should be good for camping trips! Hehe.

I received a very lovely graduation card at work today from a co-worker in Minneapolis. She's so sweet and funny. It says "Some assemply required" at the bottom.

June 10, 2009: Fusible Interfacing

I'm working on a couple sewing projects that require fusible interfacing, so I bought some at Joann's a couple weeks ago. I used it for the first time tonight!

June 8, 2009: Fabric Tube Turners

You're probably wondering what these are. We found them at Chad's family's house in Delaware. They are for turning tubes of fabric that you sew. I used one tonight!

It has been way too long since we cleaned our bedroom. We started on it this weekend and already it feels much better. I played tennis with Dad today too. That was fun.

We drove down to Wilmington tonight to attend Bethany's high school graduation at the Opera House. It was a long night - we didn't get home until after 1:20 AM!

I heard about some apps for the iPhone that let you take a photo of something and then find the paint colors that match it. I tested out the Sherwin Williams one today.

June 2, 2009: Boxee Remote on iPhone

If you haven't heard of it, Boxee is a great media player that can be used on Macs and on the AppleTV. They came out with a cool remote control for the iPhone. Loves it.

Our ceiling fan in our bedroom has been making an annoying ticking sound lately. Chad has been trying to fix it by balancing it with pennies. So far it's working.
