Pomegranate

This is the first pomegranate I've ever cut open. I bought it at Han Ah Reum because I wanted to see one cut open up close. They are pretty neat and it is kind of like blood seeping out when you cut it. The juice is delicious!

  1. Mmm, I love pomegranates. The juice is great in salad dressing and the seeds taste good in salad too.

Why has Chad abandoned his blog? Crack the whip and tell him to get writing!

  2. I think he is finding that having guinea pigs is like a full time job! Plus he claims that he has sooo much work to do for a school project ... Of course it only takes me about 5 minutes to do my posts so I think he could do it too.

I think I have to start getting pomegranates more often! I didn't get to eat this one I photographed because Chad wants to photograph it too but was too busy to do it tonight! So now it is in the fridge. Do they last a long time?

  3. Once it's cut open, it doesn't last very long. It should last at least until tomorrow evening though.

I thought guinea pigs were easy to care for and that's why so many kids have them. No? He better update his blog! It only takes a few minutes. The further behind he gets, the more time it will take to catch up!

I got three kinds of meltyblend in the mail today. Woohoo!

  4. I first learned about pomegranate when we were studying Greek mythology in enrichment. It's the seed that Persephone ate that made her have to go to Hades every winter.

  6. Erin, I think that it uses PST; it helps us update our blog for the right day even if we do it after midnight...
